“Bitch, gimme dem papers!” My mother shrieked. There was another scuffle. I looked over to see that my mother had punched Esther in her eye and strong armed the papers.

“Power of attorney and legal guardian to the house and cars. Executive of all trust funds, bank accounts, and wills. Hell naw’ll bitch! Is you out yo’- fuckin’ rabbit ass mind?” Mom yelled exasperated.

“Gimme them papers back!” Esther screamed and charged forward. Mama hit her with a two-piece in her face. The papers went flying in the air. Esther tried to grab my mother. It then occurred to me what Aunt Esther had been up to the entire time. She smelled money with her being my only close to kin. Since my mom was on drugs, she would use my misfortune as a come up.
